DC Technical Rescue Lead Supervisor

Louis Manzo, Jr., joined Sacramento, California’s DC Technical Rescue in 2019 and continues to lead confined space entry and rescue operations in his position as rescuer and lead supervisor. He also provides overall safety evaluations of confined space entries in accordance with standards set by both California and federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration guidelines, as well as maritime regulations. Louis Manzo, Jr., has worked as a fire and safety response professional for three decades, including time as battalion chief with the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District. He initially joined the district as a firefighter in 1990.

Louis Manzo, Jr., has achieved a number of professional certifications over the course of his career, ranging from an arts and science degree in fire technology from Chabot College to certification as a HazMat first responder. He is also an active member of the Alameda and Danville, California, communities. When he is not leading safety initiatives and rescue efforts at DC Technical Rescue, he enjoys coaching with Danville Little League and CYO basketball.
