Lowell Barrowes

Emergency Room Physician

Certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine, Dr. Lowell Barrowes has a proven record of providing outstanding patient-centered care in both private practice and hospital settings. Most recently, he worked as an emergency room physician in Belcourt Indian Hospital in North Dakota, where he treated all manner of injuries and infections. Since 1991, Dr. Lowell Barrowes has served as a locum tenens for more than 75 hospitals and other facilities, including Richland Memorial Hospital and Mason District Hospital in Illinois and Kearney Regional Medical Center in Nebraska.

Previously, Dr. Barrowes spent 15 years in private family practice in various locations. For several years, he worked as part of a private practice group affiliated with Keokuk Area Hospital in Warsaw, Illinois. He earned a bachelor of science in biology from the University of Utah and attended medical school at St. Louis University School of Medicine. To prepare for a career in emergency medicine, Dr. Lowell Barrowes completed an internship with the San Bernardino County Medical Center. When he is not treating patients, Dr. Barrowe enjoys hiking and cycling.
