Marcus Catsaras

Avoca Beach Recording Studio Manager 

Marcus Catsaras is the manager of Cat’s Ass Studio, a recording studio in Avoca Beach, Australia. In this position, he collaborates with musicians and bands in a wide range of genres, including electronic and pop music. The studio has also contributed to the recording of several film scores. Under the direction of Marcus Catsaras, Cat’s Ass Studio has amassed a large collection of quality gear, ranging from a century-old upright piano to a variety of dynamic Shure microphones.

In 2018 Mr. Catsaras established Bitcast, a platform that allows users to highlight, store, and share their favorite segments from podcasts. During his time as the lead designer of Bitcast, he established key partnerships with major podcast publishers like Podcast Notes.

Marcus Catsaras studied film scoring at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts, graduating with his bachelor of arts in 2016. In addition to his professional work in the areas of electronic and pop music, he enjoys listening to a variety of classical piano pieces and other works by composers such as Maurice Ravel, Frédéric Chopin, and Igor Stravinsky.
