An alumnus of the University of Southern California, Adriel Cha earned a bachelor of science in public health from the school in 2007 and has since earned a PhD in biomedical studies with a focus on immunology from Baylor University and a Sloan Fellow in management from Stanford University Graduate School of Business. Adriel Cha began his career as a venture analyst at Charter Life Science and subsequently worked as a life science researcher at Stanford School of Medicine. Later, as a graduate student and postdoctoral fellow at Stanford, Adriel Cha led application and performed preclinical research for a $10 million StandUp2Cancer-Lustgarten Foundation Pancreatic Cancer Dream Team grant. He also served as lead translational researcher for the development of correlative studies on a pair of IND applications. He then worked as manager of corporate development at Forty Seven from 2016 to 2018, executing the company’s corporate vision, helping to secure $75 million in a Series A investment round and later co-led S-1 drafting for its IPO. Adriel Cha worked as a life science specialist at L.E.K. Consulting from October 2019 to December 2020 and has since served in a corporate development and operations capacity at Orca Bio. Complementing his work in life sciences, he serves on the Hive Advisory Council for the California Academy of Sciences and Executive Committee for the Qiu Shi Science & Technologies Foundation.
