New York-Based Investor Focused on Energy and Renewables
New York-based private equity investor Benjamin “Ben” Pike has over fifteen years of experience in asset management and execution, new investment structuring, and business optimization. Having spent 12 years working for the New York-based investment management company Energy Investors Funds, later acquired by Ares Management, Ben Pike focuses on energy, infrastructure, sustainability, renewables, and innovative businesses. After graduating in business administration from Georgetown University in 2006, Mr. Pike worked as an analyst for two New York investment banking firms, Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein and Merrill Lynch. In his role as an analyst, he was responsible for modeling and analyzing mergers and acquisitions, debt financing, and equity financing. In 2008, Mr. Pike joined Energy Investors Funds as vice president, overseeing the execution of new private equity investment opportunities, mainly in the energy and power industry. After the company was acquired by Ares Management in 2015, he became a principal, in charge of both existing portfolio company management and new investment opportunities. He primarily focuses on infrastructure, energy, renewables, and sustainability. Over the years, Benjamin Pike has closed billions of dollars worth of transactions, and in 2019 he was named a Business Insider Wall Street Rising Star. In his free time, Mr. Pike enjoys skiing, hiking, reading, and travel. He is also passionate about real estate investing and rehabbing old properties.
