I have been engaged in development project roles in the voluntary sector for over 20 years. I am well versed in project preparation and evolution, experienced in developing projects from a research basis to successful nationwide rollout. 

I am an excellent communicator, trainer and facilitator, highly skilled at building strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders and disseminating information.

Project support on:
• Worked with the Food Equality Steering Group in the successful development, consultation and 
signing off of the Food Equality Strategy for Bristol City Council 2022 - 2030.

• Development of LGA funding bid, securing a £300,000 for a three year project, helping to provide 
long term solutions, leading a vision to develop innovative, long-term system changes to improve 
food security and reduce health inequalities in some of their most disadvantaged communities.

Project Support Officer 

Responsible for the design, delivery and evaluation of play services involving play training, consultancy, workshop delivery, detailed play space audits and reporting.

Key Achievements 
Instrumental in the planning and development and evaluation of the Scrapstore PlayPods, taking it from a research project into an internationally recognized culture change program:  
•	Written and designed nationally accredited learner materials and trainer resources 
•	Created and trained a network of trainers to enable the roll out across the UK and beyond
•	Awarded Play Training Team of the year 2012 and 2016 and Play Development Team of the year 2017 at the UK National Play Awards. 

Key facilitator in an Erasmus + Project, working closely with project partners as the knowledge transfer arm, successfully enabling the implementation of loose parts play in two primary schools.   Building on this success our French partners secured additional funding to fund a further ten schools. 

Supported a successful funding proposal to Bristol City Council for £10,000 to kick start a work programme for ‘Playful Bristol’.  A consortium of leading play organisations within Bristol.  
•	Helped write a three year play strategy, ensuring play is represented across Bristol 
•	Managed a small team delivering play provision in a targeted area of the city where there no services for children working in partnership with Feeding Bristol as part of the Holiday Hunger campaign.


Children's Scrapstore 

Play Development Officer

Responsible for the development and promotion of children’s play in the outdoors across the UK.

Key Achievements 
Researching, writing, and managing the delivery of an accredited level two course Playing on The Range. The course rolled out across the UK requiring tutor training and quality assurance assessment visits to ensure consistency of provision. 

The research, creation and management of a UK web-based network of play rangers and open access providers working with children in the outdoors.  This grew to involve the dissemination of  best practice guidance and policy regarding outdoor play to the network . Organised with a small regional team; the development and delivery of the first ever UK conference specifically for Play Rangers called Free Range Childhood which was attended by over 350 delegates in South Devon.


Playwork Partnerships

To facilitate and promote play opportunities, inclusive for all children whatever their abilities in parks and open spaces all year round. 

Key achievements
Integral in the writing and delivery of a winning tender for the management of the three Community Play Ranger services in BANES and taking joint responsibility for the planning of a SMART delivery schedule, managing capacity building and developing strategic partnerships.  

Developed innovative monitoring and evaluation systems to establish the impact of the service provision being offered.  Our organisation was cited for good practice by the Minister for Culture winning three national awards for our work between 2007 - 2009.

Developed a tool kit ‘The Play Ranger Guide’ to mark the work we were doing.  It sold over 800 copies to local authorities and play organisations all around the UK and beyond.
