Doug Haynes is currently the President of The Council, an enterprise leadership firm. Doug has spent a large part of his career as an advisor to top executives of private and public enterprises.
Previously, Doug served as President of the Point72 Asset Management, one of the premier equity hedge funds in the United States. Before joining the Point72 team, Doug spent over two decades as a Senior Partner at McKinsey & Company where he led the Northeast Region of the U.S. and Global Operations practice. As one of the leaders of McKinsey's High-tech industry practice, Doug co-founded and led the Firm's technology-based services practice. Before going back to school to obtain his MBA, Doug worked as an engineer for GE’s Plastics Business Group and a software developer for the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency.
