Dr. Ammr Alhoussan

Doctor (MB, BCh, BAO)
Al-Houssan excelled in his studies at RCSI. He held several leadership positions. In his last three years, he served as a Class Representative. He served on the Emergency Society's committee for two years and as a Surgical Skills Tutor for the Surgical Society, where he taught students the fundamentals of suturing and laparoscopic skills. During his time at RCSI, Al-Houssan also conducted extensive research, which enabled him to become a co-author and contributor to peer-reviewed, scholarly studies. He participated in cat allergy testing research for nearly three years. In Ottawa, Canada, he collaborated with Red Maple Trials to validate the city's first naturalistic cat allergy exposure chamber. The study was published in two journals: European Respiratory Journal and Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology. Al-Houssan, 24, graduated from RCSI in 2019. His test scores, grades, and examination results put him in the top 15% of his class. He received his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery, and Bachelor of Obstetrics (MB, BCh, BAO) with Honors.
