I am passionate in marketing; it is a kind of art & science to connect the brand with people. And the strategies / tactics always change by time / industry / technology / target audience. As a marketing strategist, I never propose the same strategies even the same client who tells me the same brief in a different point of time.
The majority thinks marketing is about how to promote product or service via ATL and BTL tactics, and the final goal is to convert people purchase. For me, marketing is how value exchange between supplier and buyer in a sustainable way to improve the quality of living of both as Win-Win. In short, the process of promotion to purchase is just the midpoint of the chain while post-purchase feedback for on-going improvement, Loyalty loop, Advocate is equally important. However, they are always underweight in marketers' plan.
