An Upton, Massachusetts-based IT leader, George Papamitrou has more than 25 years of experience managing enterprise business applications and operations infrastructure for companies in diverse industries ranging from medical devices to apparel and footwear. George Papamitrou has served as director of IT business services at MACOM Technology Solutions since 2016, where he has migrated the company’s reporting structure to SAP's Business Objects, Streamlined multiple processes within the ERP system. and helped introduce Robotics Process Automation (RPA) to eliminate non-value-added, repetitive processes. Prior to joining MACOM, George Papamitrou worked 7 years at Analog Devices and Hittite Microwave Corp., the latter of which was acquired by the former in 2014. As director of IT at Hittle, he managed a $6.5 million budget and led initiatives such as the SAP ERP migration program from Epicor ERP and IT global infrastructure reformation. He also oversaw its multiphase integration with Analog Devices. Mr. Papamitrou has also worked in IT leadership roles at Targanta Therapeutics and Aspect Medical Systems, Inc., among other companies. He holds a bachelor's degree in computer science from Worcester State University and completed the Managing IT and Managing Change program at MIT.
