Sally Albright is a communications strategist, political activist and freelance writer based in Washington, D.C. A graduate of Hollins University, Sally recently earned her Masters Degree in Creative Writing at Saint Leo University. Currently she is attending the Government Affairs Institute at Georgetown University part time while she completes her first novel, based on her experiences working on Capitol Hill in the 1990’s. While she was finishing graduate school, Sally volunteered as a precinct captain and organizer for President Joe Biden’s campaign and Presidential Inaugural Committee (PIC). As a bundler, she raised over $1.2 million for President Biden and several other Democratic campaigns. Prior to graduate school, Sally worked on both of Hillary Clinton’s Presidential Campaigns as an organizer and advance team professional. Currently, Sally serves on the board of Median Ways PAC and BraveHivePAC, and is affiliated with several professional and civic organizations including Women in Government Relations, Congressional Legislative Staff Association, Alabama State Society, Washington Intergovernmental Professional Group, Washington Network Group, DC Lawyers and Organizers, Junior League of Washington, and DC Library Writer’s Circle. In addition to her political and charity fundraising, Sally frequently hosts parties, meetups, and concerts through her event company Social Capitol. During the coronavirus pandemic, she organized regular social and professional networking events online. She has plans to start a charitable foundation in honor of her late mother Rainer Albright and her dear friend, the late Desi Deschaine, as well as a non-profit to promote voting rights, voter education, and other Democratic Party priorities Sally blogs at Sallying.com and hosts the political podcast “Back to Brunch.” She has a passion for literary fiction, philanthropy, live music performances, museums and antique, hospitality and travel, rescuing animals, and facilitating relationships and partnerships. When she isn’t traveling, Sally lives in Washington, D.C. with her three dogs.
