Involved in imparting training, assistance, and support for the scientific populace of the university as well as the external collaborators for addressing the material characterization requirements utilizing Analytical Microscopic techniques such as TEM - EDS-GIF - EFTEM - EELS/STEM as well as SEM/EDS. Characterization and data interpretation of novel materials catalysts, polymer graphene nanocomposites, carbon nanomaterials using techniques such as Gas adsorption e.g. BET and CHEM BET, UV Vis NIR, FTIR, FT Raman Spectrometers and gravimetric technique such as TGA Characterization and results interpretation of various nanomaterials synthesized in-house as well as from external collaborations utilizing wide-angle X-ray Diffraction techniques. Hydro Desulfurization reaction studies using GC/MS and HPLC/MS Assists researchers in identifying and setting up the proper techniques, tools, and methods in their material characterization studies. Periodic maintenance, initial troubleshooting and follow up with the vendor/service agent for the scheduled visits and service calls. Facility modifications and amendments for future needs in line with the HSE norms. Annual budget preparation, initiating, technical evaluation and processing orders for new equipment, chemicals/consumables procurement and commissioning in the best interest of the Project/Institute.
