An experienced schoolteacher and youth athletics coach, Steve Carroll has worked for the Alvord Unified School District’s La Sierra High School in Riverside, CA, since 2005. His overarching professional goal is to guide students to the highest levels of personal achievement and widespread respect in both the academic environment and the community at large.
Before assuming his current position, Mr. Carroll served tenures with Smoky Hill High School in Aurora, CO, Wyandotte Hill High School in Wyandotte, KS, Simi Valley Hill High School in Simi Valley, CA, and San Gorgonio High School in San Bernardino, CA. Over the course of his 37-year career as an educator, he has taught students at 12 schools in five states.
Mr. Carroll’s hobbies generally center on athletics and working out. While relaxing in his Riverside home, he enjoys reading the biographies and autobiographies of prominent sports figures. Mr. Carroll also has a history of volunteerism with the YMCA.
