Michael Capponi is a real estate development professional and humanitarian in Miami, Florida. He is the Founder of Global Empowerment Mission, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that is dedicated to helping communities impacted by disasters. The Foundation was founded after Michael Capponi made over 80 trips to Haiti following the devastating earthquake in 2010. Most recently, Global Empowerment Mission collected relief aid and delivered them to those effected by Hurricane Dorian in the Bahamas.

Global Empowerment Mission is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 2011, which is devoted to helping those hard hit by natural disasters. Capponi continues to devote his time and efforts to these charitable causes. In 2017, GEM helped send over 10 million pounds of aid to the hurricane-stricken islands of Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Dominica and St. Maarten, which was delivered by 55 planes and 106 containers.
