Military leader Michael D. Schoenfeldt began his career in the United States Army in 1998, after graduating from the University of Kansas with a B.S. in history. Through 2013, he held various roles and took on increasing amounts of responsibility, leading personnel through combat and operational deployments in countries including Iraq, Afghanistan, and South Korea. Michael D. Schoenfeldt also served as chief of staff and chief operations officer for organizations with as many as 3,600 personnel and annual budgets greater than $100 million. During this time, he earned an M.S. in adult, occupational, and continuing education from Kansas State University.

Mr. Schoenfeldt served as chief of staff and deputy commander as well as battalion commander and then was selected to serve as a War College Student at the Dwight D. Eisenhower School, where he received an M.S. in national resource strategy and earned a certificate in supply chain management. From 2019 to 2021, Michael D. Schoenfeldt was commander of an armored brigade combat team and managed seven divisions, each composed of 500 to 800 employees.

To support his community, Mr. Schoenfeldt volunteers with the Catholic Youth Organization. In his free time, he enjoys attending the theater and going to movies. He also likes to cheer on his favorite National Football League team, the Kansas City Chiefs.
