Michael Ikossi 

A graduate of Loyola University, Michael Ikossi completed his bachelor’s in languages and culture, with a French concentration. He also earned a minor in criminal justice and completed a sustainability policy brief titled “Rebuilding New Orleans” that he presented to municipal officials. Michael Ikossi had the opportunity to complete a semester abroad in Grenoble, France, and titled his capstone paper on the topic “The Culture of Congo Square in New Orleans.” 


Mr. Ikossi held a number of summer positions during his college career, including as team lead with the environmentally focused Grass Roots Campaign in Alexandria, Virginia. He also has counseling and assistant teaching experience at the Smithsonian Institute Summer Camp and was an instructor and counselor at the Belle Haven Marina Sailing Camp. 


In addition, Mr. Ikossi is a musician who led the “Saints of Sound” and played drums in a band that had regular gigs ranging from weddings to the Virginia Democratic convention. Michael Ikossi was also a member of a rock band that performed at the largest venue in the Washington D.C. area.
