Michael Kunka

Texas Entrepreneur with Passion for the Outdoors

Active with the Business Professionals of America, Michael Kunka has guided MAK Lawn Services in Waco, Texas, since 2018 and provided quality lawn services to local businesses. Michael Kunka launched and expanded the company while attending Midway High School and also managed the office and undertook yard cleanup for the Red Express Pallet Company.

Having achieved National Honor Society recognition, Mr. Kunka served as a Student Council member in high school. He also launched and led the McLennan County Teenage Republicans under the guidance of McLennan County Republicans. In addition to organizing interested youth, he helped facilitate and hosted a televised debate that brought together Republican congressional candidates to discuss local and national issues.

Mr. Kunka also competed in a number of sports in high school. He was a member of the high school varsity water polo and swim teams, and his favorite outdoor activities include skiing and lake surfing. He also has a passion for hunting in all its forms, including bird and deer hunting, and tracking with a bow. Michael Kunka’s plans involve studying law or business in college.
