Michael McPhie

Vancouver-Based Mining Industry Executive

Michael McPhie possesses decades of mining management experience as an industry consultant. In 2015, Michael McPhie co-founded Falkirk Environmental Consultants, Ltd., using the experience he accumulated as the head of several mining companies and executive boards in Western Canada.

During his tenure as the CEO of Curis Resources, Ltd., he oversaw a multimillion-dollar copper mining project and the company’s eventual IPO and takeover. Before this role, he directed corporate affairs as the executive vice president of Resource Corporation, a Canadian company with mining interests in South America.

An influential voice in the industry, Michael McPhie has held board positions with the Association for Mineral Exploration and the British Columbia Institute of Technology. He remains active on the boards of the Independence Gold Corporation and Ridley Terminals, Inc.

Mr. McPhie is registered as a Qualified Environmental Professional, and he attended professional development programs for high-level executives at Stanford University and the Institute of Corporate Directors. He holds a bachelor's degree in physical geography and a master’s degree in environmental management and business.
