Miguel Leal

Founder of Mexican Cheese Producers, Inc.

Based in Clearwater, Florida, Miguel Leal is the former owner of Mexican Cheese Producers, Inc. He was one of the first entrepreneurs to introduce Mexican cheese in the United States. With years of professional experience, Miguel Leal successfully designed a variety of award-winning Mexican cheese recipes.

Before moving to the United States, Miguel Leal worked at a local cheese factory in Mexico. He later accepted an apprenticeship position in Wisconsin. With no money and poor English skills, he spent years learning the cheesemaking process as an apprentice. Soon, he realized the valuable market for Mexican cheese and capitalized on the opportunity. In 1994, he launched his own company and constructed a cheese production plant to create the finest Mexican cheese recipes.

Mr. Leal is writing his memoir, chronicling his journey from an immigrant struggling with poverty to a distinguished business owner. In addition to his professional achievements, he contributes to his community through philanthropic endeavors. For instance, he organizes annual Christmas gift giveaways for children. His other interests include scuba diving, fishing, and organic farming.
