Mike Meru

Draper, Utah, resident, Dr. Mike Meru serves patients at Alter & Meru Orthodontics in Thousand Oaks, California, where he has been practicing since 2019. Dr. Mike Meru is a former associate dentist at Pacific Dental Services and Horsley Orthodontics. He graduated from the University of Southern California (USC), where he earned a doctor of dental surgery (DDS) and a master’s degree in craniofacial biology. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics.

In addition to his duties as an orthodontist, Dr. Mike Meru serves as a webinar editor and associate editor for the Journal of Clinical Orthodontics. An avid writer, he has contributed articles to multiple publications, including The Journal of the American College of Dentists. He is the founder of and previously served as the executive director of the Student Professionalism and Ethics Association (SPEA) from 2010 to 2021.

In his free time, Dr. Mike Meru enjoys spending time with his family. He also likes snowboarding, surfing, and canyoneering.
