Milan Djordjevich

MD Plastics President, Owner

Since 1999, Milan Djordjevich has served as the president and owner of MD Plastics, Inc., in Chicago. Initially a reseller of recycled plastic resin, he expanded operations at MD Plastics over the course of more than two decades to include virgin plastic and recycled plastic sales. Milan Djordjevich previously gained experience in areas of plastic resin sales during his time as a sales representative with T. Brewer and Company, also in Chicago. His overriding objective as a leader in the plastics industry is to limit the amount of plastics disposed of via landfills.

Mr. Djordjevich holds a bachelor of science in chemistry from East Carolina University (ECU) in Greenville, North Carolina, where he also played on the basketball team. After graduating, he received teaching fellowships at ECU and Loyola University of Chicago. Prior to college, Mr. Djordjevich was a National Honor Society student and varsity athlete at Libertyville High School in Illinois.

Between 1974 and 1980, Mr. Djordjevich spent time as an assistant basketball coach at Loyola University, eventually becoming one of the nation’s top recruiters. He later successfully ran the Midwest Storm, a Amateur Athletic Union basketball program, from 2002 through 2006.
