Missy Clark

Leading Trainer of Equestrian Riders at North Run

Missy Clark is a longtime show jumping and equitation trainer who owns and operates the North Run equestrian training business with her husband. Her 100 acre Warren, Vermont, facility is an Adirondack-inspired farm that includes an indoor ring and outdoor arena, as well as stables for 50 steeds. During the winter months, Missy Clark also leads North Run South, a training facility in Wellington, Florida, and participates in the Winter Equestrian Festival.

Raised in East Aurora, New York, Ms. Clark learned the fundamentals of riding from her mother, respected rider Doris Clark. While a junior rider, Missy Clark gained experience in Buffalo as a working student under Chuck Graham, and she subsequently worked with Rodney Jenkins and Jimmy Lee. Prior to establishing North Run, she maintained the equitation business Fox Run, Ltd. with her mother.

Riders with North Run have achieved numerous Reserve and National Championship titles in equitation finals over the years. In 2019, Sam Walker earned a victory in the WIHS Equitation Finals, as did Ava Stearns in the ASPCA Maclay National Championship. Outside of her work, Missy Clark is a founder of the Dandelion Fund, and maintains a strong philanthropic presence by serving on the board of the Kevin Babington Foundation.
