Mitchell Blutt

Dr. Mitchell Blutt serves as a clinical assistant professor of medicine at Cornell University’s Weill Cornell Medical College, located in New York City. At the medical school, he also provides leadership as a member of the Dean’s Council and the New York Presbytarian Weill Cornell Council. Aside from his commitments in higher education, Dr. Mitchell Blutt maintains responsibilities as chief executive officer of Consonance Capital, a health care investment firm he established. In founding and guiding the firm, he draws on experience as an executive partner at JPMorgan Partners, where he created and headed the health care group.


In preparation for his career, Dr. Mitchell Blutt enrolled at the University of Pennsylvania. Earning his MD, he went on to complete his internship and residency in internal medicine through the New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center. Dr. Blutt subsequently gained admittance to his doctoral alma mater’s Wharton School, from which he secured his MBA.


Recognized for his contributions to the field of health care, Dr. Mitchell Blutt garnered the 2010 Alumni Achievement Award from the Wharton Healthcare Management Alumni Association. In addition, he is the recipient of the Distinguished Service Award from Penn Medicine.
