Nichole Thiel

Experienced Educator and Caregiver

A longtime educator and administrator in Idaho, Nichole Thiel recently stepped away from the education field to provide full-time care to her mother, who was diagnosed with Lewy body dementia. Certified as a dementia care provider, Nichole Thiel has also received training in CPR and the use of automated external defibrillators. In addition to her full-time caregiving work, she gives back to the larger community through her volunteer efforts as a fundraising event coordinator for a local hospice provider.

Prior to moving into her caregiving role, Nichole Thiel spent nearly two decades in leadership positions with charter schools, high schools, and universities. Following two years as assistant to the dean at the University of Idaho, Ms. Thiel accepted a teaching role at Timberlake High School in Spirit Lake, Idaho. She built upon this experience in her subsequent position at Lake City High School in Coeur D’Alene, where she taught courses in eight subjects and supervised multiple extracurricular and student leadership activities.

While teaching at Lake City High, Nichole Thiel also served as an independent study proctor at the University of Idaho and as a regional leadership director for the Idaho Association of Student Councils.
