Owen Arthur May

Award-Winning Investment Executive

A Manhattan-based private equity executive with more than three decades of experience, Owen Arthur May has served as CEO and partner at MD Global Partners since 1994, when he co-founded the investment bank in Baltimore, Maryland. He relocated the business to New York within 2 months of founding it, and operated out of the former World Trade Center until the September 11 terrorist attack. Owen Arthur May has continued to grow the business via advisory partnerships with companies like DNA Brands, Inc., and RedHawk Holdings Corp.

Prior to co-founding MD Global, Owen May spent time at Lehman Brothers. He joined the firm in 1985 after completing an MBA in finance at Duke University's Fuqua School of Business. He also holds a bachelor's degree in biology from the University of Miami. He has received awards from both schools, including the Duke MBA May-Penn Award of Excellence in 2006.

Owen May offers a range of financial and business services to clients through MD Global, and is particularly versed in areas such as venture capital, angel investing, business turnarounds and restructurings, and debt offerings. He also mentors young professionals and students in the finance MBA program at Duke University. His extracurricular interests include photography, hiking, and cycling.
