Patrick Crowley

From Billboard to Netflix

A graduate of Iowa State University with a bachelor of fine arts in graphic design, Patrick Crowley worked for years as a graphic designer and art director before greatly expanding his professional purview while working at Billboard. During his time with the music industry giant, he became a content editor and then spearheaded and launched the vertical platform Billboard Pride, as well as its hugely successful social media pages. Patrick Crowley served as senior director of this LGBTQ-focused multimedia platform and quickly became known as a pioneering LGBTQ opinion shaper. Through his work at Billboard, he collaborated on projects with A-list talent including Britney Spears, Elton John, Jennifer Lopez, Ariana Grande, RuPaul and Selena Gomez, among others.

Mr. Crowley subsequently relocated to Los Angeles, where he served as an independent creative consultant for major music industry power players such as Warner Chappell, BMG and the Rock 'N Roll Hall of Fame. He also continued to champion the LGBTQ community through his work, taking on a number of passion projects with independent queer musicians. He now serves as art director of the Netflix Queue journal through the world-renowned design consultancy firm Pentagram.
