The founding chief executive officer of BCA Architects, Paul Bunton has served the San Jose-based firm for nearly 30 years. He currently oversees operations at four BCA offices throughout California. In addition to handling a wide range of leadership duties, Paul Bunton has led design efforts on a number of BCA’s most notable projects. One of these projects was BCA’s current San Jose headquarters, which received recognition as Green Project of the Year from the Silicon Valley Business Journal in 2011.
Other design awards accrued by Paul Bunton include a Coalition for Adequate School Housing (CASH) Award of Excellence for Christopher High School, an Associated Builders and Contractors of San Diego Award of Excellence for construction of Chula Vista High Schools 750 seat Performing Arts Center, and a Community College Facility Coalition (CCFC) Award of Excellence for the design of the Corner Lot project at Southwestern College. The Silicon Valley Business Journal named Mr. Bunton its Architect of the Year in 2009.
