Paul Salib

Commitment to Energy Efficiency with Castellan

A former senior vice president with Red Stone Partners, where he was involved in the financing and acquisition of a selection of real estate transactions totaling over $1 billion, Paul Salib received his MS in real estate finance and investment from New York University in the early 2000s. In 2006, Paul Salib founded Castellan Real Estate Partners, where he has served as a managing principal and, in just over a decade, grown a property portfolio worth approximately $750 million.

Paul Salib’s commitment to improving energy efficiency in all of the properties included in the firm’s portfolio constitutes a major factor in Castellan’s success. Employing an independent engineering firm, he created a three-phase initiative that focused on identifying ways to save energy while reducing the operation costs of Castellan’s buildings, thus improving their financial performance. Under Mr. Salib’s guidance, Castellan has made several energy-efficient improvements to its buildings, including replacing oil boilers with gas-based alternatives and installing efficient lightbulbs in building common areas.
