An experienced financial services professional with a background in corporate law, Peter Stokes has served as chairman and manager of Concord Equity since co-founding the firm in 2004. His responsibilities with this independent investment and consulting firm center on the facilitation of venture and private equity transactions for mid-market companies across a broad range of industries and the oversight of a diverse portfolio of assets in the consumer debt, insurance, maritime, and oil/gas industries throughout the United States, Europe, and South Africa. Peter Stokes’ accomplishments with Concord's advisory business include structuring a comprehensive recapitalization and re-organisation of a Johannesburg Stock Exchange listed South African budget airline. In addition to partnering with a British aviation consulting agency to create critical turnaround and re-fleeting strategies, he secured a sale of its maintenance division to a US buyer and a buyout offer for the airline from a European-owned carrier. 

Mr. Stokes laid the foundation for his career success as a corporate attorney. Over the years, he has served tenures as a legal counsel with the Carphone Warehouse Group in London and an associate with the firm of Fairbridges Wertheim Becker in Cape Town, South Africa.
