Insulation includes three steps - Conduction, Convection, and Radiation. Conduction - Flowing of heat in solid materials. Convection - Flowing of heat through liquid and gases Radiation - Straight line of heat that affects any solid material. Insulation works by decreasing the heat flow in conduction and convection.
