The CEO of Mercy Corps, Tjada D’Oyen McKenna oversees a skilled group of more than 5,000 humanitarians in more than 40 nations. Previously, she worked as the COO of CARE and Habitat for Humanity, focusing on programs and international operations that currently assist 37 million people all over the globe. Tjada has worked nonstop for nearly ten years to address the world hunger issue. She dedicated her professional life to eradicating world hunger by leading initiatives like Feed The Future and working in positions within US government agencies during President Obama’s term in office. Tjada worked with prominent organizations like the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and assisted USAID’s Bureau for Food Security in Washington, DC.

George McGraw is a well-known authority on water and sanitation in the United States and abroad. He often appears in international media, such as Forbes, CNN, and NBC. Currently, he holds the position of Founder and CEO of DigDeep, the only WaSH (water, sanitation, and hygiene) organization focused on the USA. George co-authored the shocking 2019 report, “Closing the Water Access Gap in the United States,” which found that race is the main predictor of water insecurity. More than 2.2 million people do not have access to a toilet or a tap at home.

GivingTuesday’s CEO is Asha Curran. She is a Fellow at Stanford University’s Center for Philanthropy and Civic Society, the Head of the Board of Guardian.org, and a Marla and Barry Beck Visiting Social Innovator at the Harvard Kennedy School’s Social Innovation and Change Initiative. In addition to being recognized to the Nonprofit Times’ Top Fifty Power and Influence list in 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022, she was a Tällberg-SNF-Eliasson Global Leadership Finalist in 2021.

Impactful Missions, a nonprofit organization founded by Elisha Chan, is committed to eradicating poverty via empowerment, education, and the development of jobs. She also serves as executive director of Fair Trade LA. This nonprofit organization has established Los Angeles as the fourth-biggest Fair Trade City in the world and the largest in North America. She discovered her interest while participating in many visits to Haiti as a UCLA student, and six months after graduating, she launched Impactful Market, her social venture. She is giving back to a tiny Haitian town named Fond Doux while working with several artisans and manufacturers there. Through establishing a scholarship program, she has helped more than 345 impoverished children attend school, from preschool to university. She is now constructing a Leadership Academy and Trade School from the ground up in Haiti.
