An individual of diverse interests and talents, Quincy Deland Magby holds a bachelor of science in mathematics with a concentration in physics and a master of arts in mathematics education from Fayetteville State University in Fayetteville, North Carolina. While working toward his master’s degree, Quincy Magby taught middle school mathematics with Fayetteville’s Cumberland County Schools.
Quincy Deland Magby went on to serve tenures as a mathematics professor in Yuma, Arizona; an adjunct mathematics instructor and academic tutor in Fayetteville, North Carolina; and an adjunct mathematics instructor in Portsmouth, Virginia. His accomplishments in the world of math education include helping to present the 2003 “The Future of Technology in the Mathematics Classroom” professional conference.
For the past 8 years, Mr. Magby has sold investment and insurance products as a Virginia licensed agent. He has worked for organizations in multiple states, but currently lives and works in Norfolk, Virginia. Outside of the professional environment, he is an avid tennis player.
