Rami Azzouz

Dr. Rami Azzouz is a Dalton, Georgia-based pediatrician and researcher who draws upon more than two decades of experience to manage Bright Pediatrics. He launched the private practice in 2010 and managed it on his own for the first 5 years, regularly performing hospital rounds in the morning and working at his office until about 10:00 p.m. every day. Dr. Rami Azzouz has received Best Pediatrician distinction in the Best of the Best Awards every year since 2015.

Prior to launching his own practice, Dr. Rami Azzouz worked at The Children Doctors, Prime Pediatrics, and TCT Children Hospital at Erlanger Health System. He also served 4 years as chief of the pediatrics department at Hamilton Medical Center. He has additional experience as a NICU hospitalist at St. Louis University.

Dr. Azzouz has published research on topics such as neonatal hemochromatosis and the effects of retinoic acid on tropoelastin gene expression. He has also delivered presentations at the Aspen Conference on Perinatal Research and to the Society of Pediatrics Research. A member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, he completed a neonatal-perinatal medicine fellowship at Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri, and earned his MD from Damascus University School of Medicine.
