Dr. Watson is built on the Bluemix platform and utilizes IBM Watson’s User Modeling API to track a user’s social media profile for trends in mental health over time. By leveraging personality assessments, as well as large amounts of data from Facebook and Twitter, users can be warned if they are at risk for certain illnesses. Visual chords is an educational program designed to teach beginning musicians about music theory by engaging them through fun visual feedback. Visual chords provides the user with a series of goals and free range to play around, each key and chord corresponds to a series of visual colors, and completing goals crosses them off and moves up to a new level. Carnatic Gemstone is a Product Hunt and Reddit clone tailored to work for the Carnatic classical music community. The web application allows verified users to mine “gems” of concert recordings through a RESTful API and authentication, then utilizes a Facebook OAuth authenticated system for upvotes and downvotes. The system is currently being extended to support mailing lists and overhauling the UI/UX.

RoboEagles / Enloe Robotics Club Board Member, Programming Team Leader
The RoboEagles are a FIRST robotics competition team based in Enloe High School in Raleigh, North Carolina. Programming team focused on designing algorithms at different levels of hardware to control robot functionality, as well as process advanced sensory inputs using techniques such as vision detection. Role of the team leader involved communication with other subteams involved in design and construction of the robot, managing progress of code and objectives, dividing work between team members, and designing testing procedures to ensure compatibility. Additionally, the board member position involved responsibilities with club organization, finances, member selection, and marketing.

NCYCAC has raised over $65,000 for multiple charities such as the Akshaya Trust and Vibha.
