I am a positive, responsible and hardworking person who love to help people and take challenges. I am half Japanese and Taiwanese, fortunately, experiencing different cultures and traveling to other countries are not rare to me. That is also the reason why I work overseas in Singapore to explore my horizons and sharpen my clinical skills as an occupational therapist.
During two years employment in the community hospital in Singapore, I have learned clinical techniques applying on my elderly patients and also to communicate with other multidisciplinary members and cooperate as a team. Moreover, working in a community hospital setting empowers me to listen sincerely, educate patiently and discuss toughly together with family members in order to provide good quality of care as well as prepare safe discharge for those elderly patients. To enhance my skills to connect with stressed caregivers, I also attended counselling skills workshop in SGH.
I feel this is the time I want to explore another interested field-pediatric OT. Though it’s already two years back I earned my experience, I believe I can pick up soon through my passion toward it and enjoy learning at the same time.
