Bethesda, Maryland-based physician Robert Hardi, MD, is a fellow of the American Gastroenterological Association and Academy of Physicians in Clinical Research. He has been the winner of the Washingtonian’s Best Doctor award several times and is a Certified Physician Investigator. Possessing upwards of 45 years of medical experience, Robert Hardi, MD, serves as principal at Chevy Chase Gastroenterology and as a consultant at Physician Associates.

Alongside his clinical practice, Dr. Robert Hardi has maintained a presence in both the research and academic sectors. He is medical director of Altimmune and chief clinical scientist at MediPredict in Hungary. Further, he serves as a physician for the German Embassy in Washington, as a clinical assistant professor at Georgetown University Medical School, and has been involved in numerous research projects on gastroenterological matters, like inflammatory bowel disease and polyp prevention.

Dr. Hardi also shares his medical expertise and leadership abilities through service on the boards of various organizations. He previously served as a trustee for the Association of Clinical Research Professionals and on the board of managers for Capital Digestive Care. These days, Dr. Hardi is on the medical advisory committee for the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA) DC-area chapter and is on the board of the Academy of Physicians in Clinical Research (APCR).
