Investigation of Low-Complexity Hybrid Precoder with Orthogonal Codebook based on Massive MIMO Systems


  • In this thesis, we mainly focus on how to design low-complexity hybrid precoding, which can achieve good spectral efficiency simultaneously. 

  • We proposed three types of low-complexity codebooks on the analog side for the Hybrid Precoding Algorithm based on Orthogonal Matching Pursuit.
  • The spectral efficiency of these types of codebooks performs well, especially in the case of multi-stream scenario. Due to their orthogonality, the multiplications needed in the Orthogonal Matching Pursuit algorithm can be reduced by 88%, 91%, and 99%, respectively.
