Walmart Global Technologies, Software Developer - III, Aug 2018 ~ Present

Key achievements

  • Developed the digital pharmacy experience of Sam's Club app from scratch. It helps the Sam's Club members to easily refill or transfer their prescriptions, order vaccinations, manage their family prescriptions and various other useful features.
  • In a period of 18 months, the monthly active users of Pharmacy increased 10 times from 5000 to 50000 and still rising.
  • Delivered the immunizations feature in Aug 2020 to support for COVID-19 vaccine and be ready when it releases into market. Digitized the consent form for users to get vaccines on a contact-less basis.
  • Winners of the inaugural Innovation JAM 2019 (Hackathon). Pitched, developed and demonstrated the winning idea of 'Smart-medication reminders' in 2 days among 35 participant teams.
Role, Responsibilities and Accomplishments
  • Worked since the inception of the Digital Pharmacy project and delivered various releases in a short time-frame with a team of only 2 members.
  • Worked on AutoLayout, UIKit for designing UI for both iPhone and iPad.
  • Worked on Swift 4 and supported the app from iOS 9 to iOS 14.
  • Worked with frameworks like Adobe analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, OpinionLab to monitor the app usage and feedbacks.
  • Always followed the best design practices and adhered to various iOS architectures like MVVM, Coordinator pattern etc.
  • Integrated REST APIs and always adhered to HIPAA compliance considering sensitive medical information of patients.
  • Wrote unit test cases with over 95% code coverage and 670 tests.
  • Always adhered to accessibility requirements.
  • Member of the Mobile team council. As part of this, I organized and participated in various training sessions to all the mobile app developers.
  • Followed AGILE practices to deliver bi-weekly releases and acted as the team's scrum-master.
  • Hired and onboarded two iOS developers to the team during my stint. Participated in the campus hiring drive of IIT Kanpur.
