An aspiring screenwriter based in New York City, New York, Sawyer Petrick completed a bachelor's degree in film at The New School in 2018. His feature screenplay, Peace Be Upon You, earned entry into the school's 9th annual Voice/Over Script Reading Competition, while his senior capstone screenplay, The Newsboy Racket, received high honors distinction. Sawyer Petrick worked briefly at Whole Picture Films upon graduating and served as a consultant for the development of the feature film script The Speech.
In addition to his education and experience in scriptwriting, Sawyer Petrick has several years of bartending experience and earned an EBS certificate from New York Bartending School in 2012. He has since worked in a bar back roles at Bryant Park Grill and Union Square Cafe. He provided various services for bar patrons and filled drink orders for customers in other areas of the restaurant at the latter.
Mr. Petrick enjoys honing his scriptwriting capabilities, with a particular focus on feature films and sitcoms, in his free time. His extracurricular interests include playing the guitar, reading, and following his favorite NFL team, the New York Giants.
