吳大山

對英語熟悉,TOEIC 870分。不論是在需要超過40人才能順利比賽的車隊,一直到目前工作岡位上的小組,協作一直是過去四、五年年來不論在校和在職的核心。與贊助商和廠商來回信件、回電,在學長和新鮮人之間的適應。領導和被領導的經驗,我認為是很珍貴的,在學生時代就有領導的機會,讓我在新鮮人就更能體會主管的動機,能用主管的觀點去看問題,讓我在執行他的要求時,不會落入不知其所以的境地。


加工經驗

自擔任賽車車架組設計和製造時,以半自學的狀態習得GTAW焊接技術,為車隊開啟車架自製的方向,底盤件的加工也讓我對工程圖等有實際溝通的經驗。於當前的散熱模組設計上,則讓我對更多量產的技術有所了解。相比於以往學生方程式皆是近乎客製的原型零件,在目前的職位反而了解到量產件更是複雜,其中對於公差的估計,尤其是當前職位有很多壓鑄和鈑金件,在大量生產時非常容易產生誤差,此時對於檢具的導入便不可或缺,對於大部分組裝必須靠流水線的量產過程,是我們確保品質的最後防線。


軟體

Comsol:

因為研究所論文需要,在熱學和化學傳輸等熟悉。在工作上,嘗試將聲學和流場方面導入。

Creo、Solidworks、AutoCAD:

學生時期設計使用Solidworks和AutoCAD進行賽車零件設計和出圖。目前在公司以Creo為主,大多以一般3D和板金為主。

Flotherm :

目前進行系統的散熱評估的主要軟體。對於模型簡化和網格調整尚稱熟悉,但仍需精進。

碩士研究論文


主題為模擬具有吸附助效之乙醇蒸氣重組反應器,較為偏向化學和熱力學,以找出各種需求的操作區間為目的進行分析。當中有不少參數由於實驗上的困難,其實必須由我們模擬端去給定適當數值,尤其在反應器內部等效熱傳係數方面,在眾多文獻中的範圍為相當廣,最後我們採取試誤法擬合實驗數據。一開始這樣的結果是讓我感到相當無力的,雖然最終設定的值符合文獻範圍,也能對上反應器的實驗數據,但仍無直接熱傳實驗證據去證明真偽。眼見實驗的驗證已經行不通,幾經思考後猶如撥雲見日,因為這個難以實驗驗證的困境,迫使我必須對這個系統有更多抽象認識,正因這些參數是實驗難以確立而無法窺探的部分,藉由對模型的擬合,我們對那些不易直接洞悉的物理機制,提出一些猜想保留於文獻中供未來參考。更實地認識模擬不僅僅是把實驗環境全部丟進去,然後放手而已,理論有時候也必須走在實驗前面給予方向。這確實是我在之前所沒有考慮過的,大學時我以為只是把所有的已知放入程式裡,剩下的功過與我無關,但實際望向數據,未知參數反而變成擬合數據的關鍵,已經量到的數據,正是因為成本低才會直接實驗,模擬之所以困難便是因為不能一眼看穿,才需要我去做數值模擬。退一步想,偉大的發現也不偶爾基於一些不世出的異想嗎?

個性特質


慢慢來比較快

想的寬一點,勢必要多花點時間,去思索最多可能的結果。長期的共同利益,是良好合作的唯一途徑,因此必須考量雙方立場,試著換一個立場,雖會多花點時間,比起補救卻是迅速不少。如果我能知道對方要什麼,穿過猜疑的迷霧,目的地就在前方。假設對於客戶而言,交期是其最重視的目標,為了搶佔市場,交期考量完接著是成本,如此一來向客戶溝通時,可多針對能夠符合上市策略的方面提案,並由成本面提出幾個選項。雖然平日我們工程師應該專注於技術的精進,但是多多考量時局變化,會更能了解客戶的實際要求。


挫折經驗

每一年車隊的現金贊助是最令人焦頭爛額的,尤其是 2016 年車隊還沒做出成績,不受業界和大眾的重視,要向企業拉現金贊助更加困難。當時我們參與知名基金會的圓夢計畫,雖是學生團隊,但我們很清楚,金錢是現代賽車的血液,即使學生都必須有詳盡的企畫書和執行時程,在時任隊長的詳盡計畫和專業的文書能力下,終於讓我們挺進最終決選輪,當時由我上台報告,其他組別的我們也全程參與 ,很意外我們在尚無實戰成績的支持下,我們的計畫仍然能顯得踏實明確而有時程概念。而結果是遺憾的,當我們於會後請教評審, 卻給了我們最無法想像的答案,我們的計畫和基金會的理念是不合的,在一個總額上百萬而嚴謹的選拔加上前期多次書面報告,若是理念不合的理由當屬最初選就該淘汰。

可能是第一次才讓我感到手足無措,事後想想這樣的事情在社會上一點都不少,時和勢都是達成目標的必要條件,我能做的是足夠的事前準備,這類成敗不是我能掌握時,不必過於鑽牛角尖。



自傳

       出生成長於花蓮,父親是木工的好手,從小耳濡目染,讓我對能夠動手做,具各種充滿機械感事物充滿興趣,這也是我日後選擇動機系的理由。雖然升學的路上,所有人總是要我拿著筆,作坊中的焊槍、木鑿卻往往更吸引我,玩樂間讓我對工安概念默默形成。不論是去溪裡玩水還是看著切割的火星,這些場景使人真正臣服於物理原則之下,面對實際的危險讓人馬上了解,人固可以勝天,卻不能逆天,工安和尊敬自然不是無理的教條,而是遵循物理原則順勢而為的道路,這些概念使我日後對於理論知識的吸收,帶來很好的基礎,理論並不只是數學式的堆砌,而是前人經驗裡再三總結的濃縮知識,現在一想這也是一些教授非常重視科學史教授的原因。

        而自大學以來,這些學術思維訓練,讓我對世界得看法變得更寬廣,這才發現其實理論的限制是很重的,沒有一個單一的理論能夠適用所有場合,因此我開始訓練自己對每個目標都要用適合的方法思考之。了解需求、目的,才能開始解決問題,以目標的邏輯解析問題,可以讓事情更順利。 參加學生方程式,使我終於有機會測驗自己在大舞台的能力,這次沒有單一的標準答案,甚至連模仿都不是件容易的事。這讓我想起教授說過的,即使把德國的產品徹底解構,逆向工程出來的結果,卻常常「知其所以,不知其所以然」而讓性能大打折扣,這樣的背景下,設計車輛、製造執行和驗證都必須自己來,以往驗證都是別人給我們打分數,如何從試車去定義甚麼性能才是我們要的變成最大的課題。這三年的經驗,讓我熟習管理一個計劃的方法和執行,從課堂紙上談兵變成設計和驗證的迴圈,自己幫自己打分數。

       過去數個月,跟隨資深工程師帶領設計散熱模組,不但是過往經驗的驗收,更加上了嚴格的成本控管和隨時動態調整的客戶要求,讓我在面對專案的經驗逐漸充實。學生時跑加工廠最遠,不過半個台灣,面對職場的全球分工,要跟更多不同文化的人進行交流,不但了解他們的用語,更要了解他們在產線的立場,一個停工或是良率出問題,頭痛的是該案的全球每個單位。

       世界變得很快,我卻相信事情通常是慢慢做比較快的,急著做出成績,往往只是用已知而不一定最佳的方式蠻幹,如此則嚴重限制了成品的天花板。

     

Biography 

Born and raised in Hualien. My father is an amateur carpenter. The influence of my dad in my childhood makes me being engaged in DIY. This was also the reason for choosing the Department of Power Mechanical Engineering as my major in college. While swimming in the stream or cutting steel using a grinder, facing these actual potential dangers was the beginning of my awe of the laws of nature and the concept of industrial safety. One could only conquer nature when he is not trying to will against it. Shop rules and respecting laws of nature are not unreasonable dogma, but the path of following the trend. Such experience made me don't just see theories through their mathematical expressions only but try to understand the struggle the pioneers had to come through. I think this is probably the reason why some professors attach great importance to the history of science. During my college years, I learned there was no single theory that would cover everything. So I started to train myself to think accordingly to the goal instead. It was probably the best move to get things done efficiently. Having joined the Formula SAE competition, gave me the chance to perform on a bigger stage. There were no right answers, even emulating others' designs took lots of effort. It reminds me of something a professor used to say "it's easy to disassemble opponents' products and copy everything but making ours have the equal performance isn't". In this whole new circumstance in the FSAE event, we had to verify our design and manufacturing process unlike what we used to have as our teacher gave us grades in class. Defining certain ways to make sure we did make the car to its designed potential became a new challenge which was something we'd never had in a typical course. During the 3 years of experience participating in the FSAE event, I have learned how to manage a project, to make thought into real action, and give grades to my project. For the past months, I have been led by some seniors to work on the thermal module design for laptops. It had a way tighter cost cap than I had ever faced before. We also had to respond quickly to customer requests. The furthest I had to travel from shop to shop for the FSAE parts was just Taipei to Kaohsiung, and now the factories are all over the world. Most of the time I'm not able to communicate with the production team on-site, so it becomes more important to give instructions only via phone calls and face times which is harder for things like assembling parts that need extra care. Another point to mention is that with the globalization trend, communicating with people from different backgrounds is more crucial than ever, one small delay can cause a huge impact on teams around the globe. The world is changing rapidly, however, I believe in by slowing down the process would make more progress. Rushing things often means I am only able to do things in the way I know instead of the way it works. If things are not done correctly, the results usually suffered. So that I believe in a slow engineer produces skilled work.

參與FSAE學生方程式


全球超過500支隊伍,由由SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers)主辦 比賽宗旨在於由學生設計、製造、行銷一輛賽車。此競賽於1981年,在美國由SAE首度舉辦,2003年則在日本首度開辦。日本當地超過80支長期參賽的車隊,因此各隊在燃油車多有超過10年以上經歷,使的我們必須彎道超車,便以需盡快轉向2013始辦理的純電部分參賽,否則面臨車隊關門的命運。在2016年首次參賽,並於2017年車架自製(我為時任車架組長),2018年以雙車一燃油、一純電參賽,2019年以純電車達到JSAE總排名第9/電動車第2。其中包含車架的設計、自製、技術引進,給予年輕車手駕駛指導,和贊助商保持聯絡,回頭一看設計、製造、行銷、傳承都走了一遍,也可謂不虛此行以及前往日本的旅費了。

想的寬一點,勢必要多花點時間,去思索最多可能的結果。長期的共同利益,是良好合作的唯一途徑,因此必須考量雙方立場,試著換一個立場,雖會多花點時間,比起補救卻是迅速不少。如果我能知道對方要什麼,穿過猜疑的迷霧,目的地就在前方。假設對於客戶而言,交期是其最重視的目標,為了搶佔市場,交期考量完接著是成本,如此一來向客戶溝通時,可多針對能夠符合上市策略的方面提案,並由成本面提出幾個選項。雖然平日我們工程師應該專注於技術的精進,但是多多考量時局變化,會更能了解客戶的實際要求。


挫折經驗

每一年車隊的現金贊助是最令人焦頭爛額的,尤其是 2016 年車隊還沒做出成績,不受業界和大眾的重視,要向企業拉現金贊助更加困難。當時我們參與知名基金會的圓夢計畫,雖是學生團隊,但我們很清楚,金錢是現代賽車的血液,即使學生都必須有詳盡的企畫書和執行時程,在時任隊長的詳盡計畫和專業的文書能力下,終於讓我們挺進最終決選輪,當時由我上台報告,其他組別的我們也全程參與 ,很意外我們在尚無實戰成績的支持下,我們的計畫仍然能顯得踏實明確而有時程概念。而結果是遺憾的,當我們於會後請教評審, 卻給了我們最無法想像的答案,我們的計畫和基金會的理念是不合的,在一個總額上百萬而嚴謹的選拔加上前期多次書面報告,若是理念不合的理由當屬最初選就該淘汰。

可能是第一次才讓我感到手足無措,事後想想這樣的事情在社會上一點都不少,時和勢都是達成目標的必要條件,我能做的是足夠的事前準備,這類成敗不是我能掌握時,不必過於鑽牛角尖。



自傳

       出生成長於花蓮,父親是木工的好手,從小耳濡目染,讓我對能夠動手做,具各種充滿機械感事物充滿興趣,這也是我日後選擇動機系的理由。雖然升學的路上,所有人總是要我拿著筆,作坊中的焊槍、木鑿卻往往更吸引我,玩樂間讓我對工安概念默默形成。不論是去溪裡玩水還是看著切割的火星,這些場景使人真正臣服於物理原則之下,面對實際的危險讓人馬上了解,人固可以勝天,卻不能逆天,工安和尊敬自然不是無理的教條,而是遵循物理原則順勢而為的道路,這些概念使我日後對於理論知識的吸收,帶來很好的基礎,理論並不只是數學式的堆砌,而是前人經驗裡再三總結的濃縮知識,現在一想這也是一些教授非常重視科學史教授的原因。

        而自大學以來,這些學術思維訓練,讓我對世界得看法變得更寬廣,這才發現其實理論的限制是很重的,沒有一個單一的理論能夠適用所有場合,因此我開始訓練自己對每個目標都要用適合的方法思考之。了解需求、目的,才能開始解決問題,以目標的邏輯解析問題,可以讓事情更順利。 參加學生方程式,使我終於有機會測驗自己在大舞台的能力,這次沒有單一的標準答案,甚至連模仿都不是件容易的事。這讓我想起教授說過的,即使把德國的產品徹底解構,逆向工程出來的結果,卻常常「知其所以,不知其所以然」而讓性能大打折扣,這樣的背景下,設計車輛、製造執行和驗證都必須自己來,以往驗證都是別人給我們打分數,如何從試車去定義甚麼性能才是我們要的變成最大的課題。這三年的經驗,讓我熟習管理一個計劃的方法和執行,從課堂紙上談兵變成設計和驗證的迴圈,自己幫自己打分數。

       過去數個月,跟隨資深工程師帶領設計散熱模組,不但是過往經驗的驗收,更加上了嚴格的成本控管和隨時動態調整的客戶要求,讓我在面對專案的經驗逐漸充實。學生時跑加工廠最遠,不過半個台灣,面對職場的全球分工,要跟更多不同文化的人進行交流,不但了解他們的用語,更要了解他們在產線的立場,一個停工或是良率出問題,頭痛的是該案的全球每個單位。

       世界變得很快,我卻相信事情通常是慢慢做比較快的,急著做出成績,往往只是用已知而不一定最佳的方式蠻幹,如此則嚴重限制了成品的天花板。

     

Biography 

Born and raised in Hualien. My father is an amateur carpenter. The influence of my dad in my childhood makes me being engaged in DIY. This was also the reason for choosing the Department of Power Mechanical Engineering as my major in college. While swimming in the stream or cutting steel using a grinder, facing these actual potential dangers was the beginning of my awe of the laws of nature and the concept of industrial safety. One could only conquer nature when he is not trying to will against it. Shop rules and respecting laws of nature are not unreasonable dogma, but the path of following the trend. Such experience made me don't just see theories through their mathematical expressions only but try to understand the struggle the pioneers had to come through. I think this is probably the reason why some professors attach great importance to the history of science. During my college years, I learned there was no single theory that would cover everything. So I started to train myself to think accordingly to the goal instead. It was probably the best move to get things done efficiently. Having joined the Formula SAE competition, gave me the chance to perform on a bigger stage. There were no right answers, even emulating others' designs took lots of effort. It reminds me of something a professor used to say "it's easy to disassemble opponents' products and copy everything but making ours have the equal performance isn't". In this whole new circumstance in the FSAE event, we had to verify our design and manufacturing process unlike what we used to have as our teacher gave us grades in class. Defining certain ways to make sure we did make the car to its designed potential became a new challenge which was something we'd never had in a typical course. During the 3 years of experience participating in the FSAE event, I have learned how to manage a project, to make thought into real action, and give grades to my project. For the past months, I have been led by some seniors to work on the thermal module design for laptops. It had a way tighter cost cap than I had ever faced before. We also had to respond quickly to customer requests. The furthest I had to travel from shop to shop for the FSAE parts was just Taipei to Kaohsiung, and now the factories are all over the world. Most of the time I'm not able to communicate with the production team on-site, so it becomes more important to give instructions only via phone calls and face times which is harder for things like assembling parts that need extra care. Another point to mention is that with the globalization trend, communicating with people from different backgrounds is more crucial than ever, one small delay can cause a huge impact on teams around the globe. The world is changing rapidly, however, I believe in by slowing down the process would make more progress. Rushing things often means I am only able to do things in the way I know instead of the way it works. If things are not done correctly, the results usually suffered. So that I believe in a slow engineer produces skilled work.

參與FSAE學生方程式


全球超過500支隊伍,由由SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers)主辦 比賽宗旨在於由學生設計、製造、行銷一輛賽車。此競賽於1981年,在美國由SAE首度舉辦,2003年則在日本首度開辦。日本當地超過80支長期參賽的車隊,因此各隊在燃油車多有超過10年以上經歷,使的我們必須彎道超車,便以需盡快轉向2013始辦理的純電部分參賽,否則面臨車隊關門的命運。在2016年首次參賽,並於2017年車架自製(我為時任車架組長),2018年以雙車一燃油、一純電參賽,2019年以純電車達到JSAE總排名第9/電動車第2。其中包含車架的設計、自製、技術引進,給予年輕車手駕駛指導,和贊助商保持聯絡,回頭一看設計、製造、行銷、傳承都走了一遍,也可謂不虛此行以及前往日本的旅費了。
