At my leisure time, I like to shoot and edit videos. I've done till now more than 10 videos. Some of them were made for certain festivals, and some promotion videos were done especially for student association.
One of my interests is making mashups. Chinese mashups seem not popular, so I am anxious to help people know more about it. I keep trying to make different types of videos and uploading my works on YouTube.
I love math since my childhood. It is lucky for me to study Statistics. I have learned many analysis methods and theories in different courses, such as Categorical Data Analysis, Mathematical Statistics, Big Data Analysis, etc. I use them to handle practical problems. Nevertheless, I am not familiar with programming. I have to spend more time dealing with it. Fortunately, I have professors and classmates to discuss and consult with, and that helps me a lot and at the same time helps me realize that all I can do when encountering difficulties is calming down and confronting it.
Joining the student association during the time as junior was a brand-new experience. By brainstorming and cooperating with classmates, I learned how to plan and run the activities. Though we had different ideas or misunderstandings, finding ways to collaborate with each other was a valuable experience in my life. In addition, I was a coordinator of the singing contest. During the preparation, I had to pay attention to many details and control the situation at the same time. It was really tough! I was very glad that not only audience and participants but also my classmates had a wonderful night.
Many books and consultants encourage people to have new lifestyles and open minds. I have been thinking what I love, what I want, and how to achieve them. To know better myself, I participate in a variety of social activities, have part-time jobs, and edit music videos during my free time. Then this phrase becomes my motto - "You don't know whether you will like it or not, unless you try it." I am very happy to have professional skills and hobbies now. I will continue doing what I love, and I believe that I can accomplish my goal.
