Judge Megan Goldish has worked with the Cook County Circuit Court since 2014, where she presides over cases in the Domestic Violence Court. In that position, Judge Megan Goldish oversees criminal cases ranging from misdemeanors to felonies, as well as civil cases involving restraining orders.
In addition to overseeing her courtroom, she researches and writes orders, presides over bench and jury trials, and hears arguments on motions. Among other proceedings, Judge Goldish also handles felony preliminary hearings.
Alongside her court-related work, she mentors new judges and attorneys and is on the faculty as an adjunct instructor at the Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law. At the school, she regularly serves as a moot court judge. She is a member of the American Bar Association, among other professional and nonprofit organizations.
Judge Goldish earned her Juris Doctor from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law. While pursuing her degree, she regularly made the Dean’s List and was a member of the Phi Beta Kappa and Phi Kappa Phi societies. She also served as the Corresponding Secretary with the Journal of International Law And Business.
