In Research Development group:
Sep 2015 - Apr 2016
Sep 2013 - Aug 2015
Sep 2007 - Jun 2011
This is Nick. I had been working as an associate researcher for 6 years in the Development Center of Biotechnology, which is one of the promising companies in the Bioindustry in Taiwan.
With a trained mind and developed skills, I initiated/assisted several programs in the company, which needed lots of cross-functional communication. Furthermore, I developed a new cell-based assay and pushed the whole process by passing through the checkpoint.
My work experiences in the past brought me some skills/personalities:
[Problem-solving]
When facing problems, I will try anything that I can do but ask for help first. I trained myself to solve the problem alone, to figure out what was going on and how to deal with it. It's a basic but important skill.
[Negotiation]
I work as a team member who always needs to negotiate with other members. The importance of negotiation is to deliver a precise and short message to others and complete the whole process smoothly.
[Team work consciousness]
I'd like to do work in a well-trained team because I can learn different parts of an experiment/event to keep my horizons open. And the most important thing is to keep negotiating and communicating with others, which can lead us to success.
[Optimistic]
Things always come with two visions, so I choose optimism. It's a practical skill when I face difficulties, which could make me energetic and solve the problem.
My short-term goal is to find a position in which I can use my upstream process knowledge and promote protein expression. Then, I would love to assume more management responsibilities and get more involved in business development.
Also, I keep practicing English on Apps or with a foreign teacher. I still want to improve my ability, no matter my work skills or others whether. Being an active learner will make me energetic and more faithful towards unknown challenges.
