Shaun Hsiao

In my 3 years of project management career, I have put many products into the market. Starting from scratch, I would come up with ideas, and then I have industrial designers to do drawings for me. Next, I would head on to China to find the right supplier. Then i would communicate with our mechanic and the supplier about the mechanical details and complete the 3D drawing. After which I would have to come up with the packaging, manual, and selling points. When the product is all done, I would have to work with our Marcom department and come up with a marketing campaign, then train the sales about how to sell the product. What this all meant to me was that I was fully trained of key abilities such as schedule management, cost management, the marketing 4P, and communication/coordination.

Autobiography

I am Shaun, I was born in Taipei, but I was lucky to have stayed in the United States for around 7 years, this enhances my international perspective. My first job after graduate school, is at Enermax Corp. It is a listed company with a long history, although not large, the structure is rather complete. Being a project manager in this company gets to communicate with people the most, either internal, or external communication. This provides the perfect opportunity for me to learn about how an organization actually works.

As a project manager in Enermax Corp., I have to face not only engineers, but also sales, in addition, I also conduct some purchasing. In the 3 years of stay, I was in charge of computer case products; I have put many products into the market.

Within the 3 years, besides learning, I was able to demonstrate some great achievements. The cases I developed received No. 1 ranking award in the famous Japanese ranking website BCN for 2 consecutive years (2016-2017). Moreover, I represented the company’s computer case department for interview during the COMPUTEX exhibition. Some of the videos featuring me was posted on Youtube. I was able to achieve the above mentions because of my positive and hardworking attitude. I am also a team player, most of the people I work with became close friends with me. After all, no single person can complete a job, only a team can do so. During my time at Enermax, I demonstrated outstanding performace, whenever there’s a pay raise; there I am on the list. People in the company see me as a positive, outgoing, creative person, with full of passion for my products. In addition, I am a person who takes actions; therefore I am very efficient with my work.

As for my future outlook, I would like to continue my career in technology or manufacturing related industry. I could either extend my PM career, or even get into the front line, starting a sales career. With a complete project management experience, along with a heart willing to learn and a positive attitude, I believe I am the best person for the job.
