Founder of Multiple Myeloma 5k

Shawna Camilleri has acquired extensive experience as a personal trainer at Body & Spirit Fitness in Boca Raton, Florida. Her expertise covers various fitness activities, including kickboxing and pilates. Further, Shawna Camilleri is the founder of the Multiple Myeloma 5k,, which was held in Boca Raton in 2016.

The charity 5k raised funds for the International Myeloma Foundation. In its 2016 edition, the race collectively raised more than $50,000. Ms. Camilleri is actively involved in running marathons in memory of her son, Keenan. These include the NYC marathon and half marathon for Finding A Cure for Epilepsy and Seizures (FACES). As part of the New York University (NYU), FACES is a charitable cause dedicated to research & initiatives addressing epilepsy treatments. Ms. Camilleri is committed to the FACES cause, raising significant contributions exceeding $100,000.

Her other philanthropic activities include providing community mentorship for young girls. For instance, she joined the Girls on the Run program as a volunteer head coach for four years. Passionate about promoting fitness for younger groups, she was a committee board member for Dunn’s Run at the Boys and Girls Clubs of Broward County.
