A graduate of the University of Mississippi with a bachelor of arts in biological sciences, Shelbie Yates also earned an associate of arts from Holmes Community College. There, she was a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society and a candidate for the Holmes Community College Ridgeland campus 2014 Hall of Fame. Shelbie Yates is now pursuing a master of business administration from Mississippi College. 

Concurrent with her graduate studies, Ms. Yates serves as an executive assistant to the chairman and CEO of Sable Investments. In addition to handling payables and receivables for 18 active bank accounts, she maintains the company’s filing system and oversees building maintenance. Additionally, she helped create the company’s charitable giving policies and codes of conduct. Prior to accepting her current position, Ms. Yates was the executive assistant to the chairman of Tenax Aerospace. In this role, she attended industry events such as the National Business Aviation Association conference in Las Vegas and the Geographical Intelligence Convention in San Antonio.
