I can never be all the people I want and live all the lives I want. I can never train myself in all the skills I want. And why do I want? I want to live and feel all the shades, tones and variations of mental and physical experience possible in my life.— Sylvia Plath

Scenery that pacifies my mind ...

As a loner who enjoys spending time with herself far more than with someone else, embarking on a solo trip and simply indulging myself in nature is an absolute luxury. Being able to have deep conversations with myself is a blessing.
Below are some of the photos I clicked on my solo trips. If you're interested in learning more about these beautiful places, go to

Books that lift my spirits ...

Books are the crystallization of one's wisdom and experience. Reading is not only an efficient way to thoroughly understand the complete context of a viewpoint, but also a process to sink deep into one's mind.

Music that touches my soul ...

Music can make one ecstatic as well as somber. You can taste all the flavors, sour, sweet, and bitter by listening to the melody. Music can touch one's soul, and make all emotions sublime. Music can interpret all sensations and feelings, and if you listen carefully, you will find that we are all so alike.

Where I Stand

Mia Wray

RINI

I have seen a thousand things
A thousand minds and what they bring
To this world and to this home
But where I stand, well I don't know

And people come and people go
People I will never know
But if I did and if I could
I'd wonder when and where they stood

A billion stories yet to be told
A million voices we haven't heard
So let's take it day by day
Let tomorrow make its way

Don't just turn the other page
Write it down and make it great
'Cause you'll never know when you will go
You will go

Who You Are

Jessie J

Slow Up

Jacob Banks

Don't lose who you are
In the blur of the stars
Seeing is deceiving
Dreaming is believing
It's okay not to be okay

Sometimes it's hard
To follow your heart
Tears don't mean you're losing
Everybody's bruising
Just be true to who you are

What I've learnt from the ocean
Hard to dance and rejoice in the motion
Let the sun have its moment
The moon will come

What I've learnt from a soldier
Every man is a son to a daughter
And we only remember
When we see the blood

My scribbling ...

Writing is the process of knowing, healing, and building myself.

Maybe I have been looking for words, chasing words, trying to understand words.

Death

July 5th, 2021

People have tremendous fear for DEATH, whether it is the cause, process, or even aftereffect.

How will I die? Would it be painful or peaceful?

What will be my death status? Would I be alone or surrounded?

Where will I go after my death? Would I be in hell or paradise?

All kinds of unknowns are frightening, and the fear is disturbing.

However, death gives the most fundamental meaning and value to life.

If there is no death, how can there be life?

If there is no end of time, how can there be motivation?

If there is no regret, how can there be appreciation?

The existence of "death" makes "life" and allows people to have the freedom to choose to live.

Happiness

June 13th, 2021

Should we pursue happiness?

Perhaps you've met people who are constantly chasing after happiness. Most of their choices can be traced back to seeking "a more peaceful and happy life". However, they might not notice that "happiness" is just a state, a fleeting moment. What's more, the exhausting fact is that it takes a lot of effort to gain instant happiness, while the power of control is often not in one's hands.

Before totally denying the necessity of "pursuing happiness", we ought to first explore different sources of "happiness".

I classify them as "primary happiness" and "secondary happiness." "Secondary happiness" refers to the unpredictable and fleeting happiness mentioned above, which often depends on the expectation, response, and feedback of a third party.

"Primary happiness" can be acquired with extreme ease because it does not come from others, but from oneself. There's no need to go after it desperately. It's not the end of the journey, it's the process. "Primary happiness" depends on one's attitude and belief. It doesn't need permission or commitment from others. If you think you deserve it, it is yours.

Stop rushing! Happiness doesn't need to be found. It’s been lingering nearby, waiting to be noticed and discovered.

Youth

June 11th, 2021

I once said "Young is a concept. Time flies." and I have experienced every bit of it at different stages of my life. In the past, when I met seniors, I always felt that they should have had more life experience, more mature thinking, and a stronger will.

However, as I grow older, I feel that my present self seems to be different from the presupposition of others in the past.

Maybe I have a little more accomplishments to show off, maybe I look a little more mature, but my heart is still soft and fragile.

Don't look at the people who are more experienced on this planet in a particular way! We are equally vulnerable, sensitive, and in need of love.
