Sonny Hernandez

Christian Apologist

Sonny Hernandez is the director and founder of Reforming America Ministries. As a Christian apologist, he has participated in several moderated debates on various theological topics, and has authored 11 books. He is passionate about defending the doctrine of the Trinity and the imputed righteousness of Christ.

He earned a doctorate in pastoral theology/leadership from Tennessee Temple University, and has also earned a Master of Divinity and a Master of Arts in Theological Studies. Dr. Hernandez served as an adjunct professor for McKendree University (Radcliff KY Campus), and Grand Canyon University (distance learning).

He also served for more than twenty years in the United States Armed Forces. As an experienced counselor and military chaplain, he provided pastoral care to service members in all branches of the Armed Forces, and has facilitated hundreds of military funerals, invocations, and retirements throughout his tenure in the military. In April 2015, he was selected as the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center Individual Mobilization Augmentee Company Grade Officer of the Year.
