Sophia Eick

University Student and Emerging Nurse

Sophia Eick has been a student at the University of Delaware since 2018 and is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Outside the university, Sophia Eick has held volunteer and career development roles with several organizations, such as the Nurse Primary Care Center in Newark.

Having worked at the center for several months, she was responsible for performing outpatient exams. These ranged from vision and hearing exams to checking vital signs. Ms. Eick subsequently joined Nemours Alfred I. DuPont Hospital, where she shadowed medical professionals from the pediatric emergency care and trauma teams.

She was primarily responsible for treating patients and interacted with them regularly. Alongside her nursing experience, Sophia Eick has experience with Pats Select, where she has spent several years as a server. In addition, she is responsible for delivering food, taking delivery orders, and cleaning tables at the restaurant.

For the past several years, Ms. Eick has also been a part of the Student Nursing Organization in Newark, where she is a gold member.
