With more than two decades of experience in her field, Dr. Sophia Kotliar is board certified in cytopathology and anatomic and clinical pathology. Having practiced in outpatient and community hospital settings, Dr. Sophia Kotliar has a particular focus on clinical informatics and collaborates with colleagues in ensuring the type of accurate, time-sensitive diagnostic reporting that generates optimal patient results.
Dr. Kotliar’s current work in the clinical informatics sphere focuses on enacting workflow improvements through the EPIC Electronic Health Record at Bayhealth Medical Center. Practicing in Dover, Delaware, she has guided a redesign of the Immunohistochemistry, Pathology Gross Room and spearheaded in-house design and adoption of Lynch Syndrome IHC screening and breast biomarker testing.
A respected voice in her field, Dr. Kotliar has served as Delaware delegate with the College of American Pathologists House of Delegates for more than a decade.
